Reports have it that President Muhammad Buhari has appointed Major General Ali Keffi, as the acting Chief of Army Staff (COAS), following the death of the former COAS, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru who died in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday.

According to reports, Keffi is a member of 38 Regular Course, was trained in Mogadishu Battalion in the Academy.
He is an alumnus of Bangladesh Defence College and is the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Div Kaduna.
Maj.-Gen Alli-Keffi, assumed duty as the 37th GOC 1 Division, Nigerian Army, in Kaduna in March this year.
