Gov. Buni condoles with Fika Emirate over death of Imam Muhammad Alkali

The Chief Imam of Fika Emirate Council in Yobe State and Chairman of the Emirate’s Council of Ulamas, Alhaji Muhammadu, Alkali is dead.

The death of the Imam was announced in a brief statement issued by the State Chairman Council of Chiefs and Emir of Fika, Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa through his spokesman, Mohammed Abubakar.

It indicated that the cleric died on Friday in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.

The statement added that late Alkali has been buried in Maiduguri according to Islamic rites.

Meanwhile, Governor Mai Mala Buni in a statement commiserated with the Emir of Fika, Alh. Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa, the Emirate Council and the people of Fika Emirate over the demise of Imam Muhammad Alkali, the Sarkin Malaman Masaurautan Fika.

Governor Buni said although it is sad losing the revered cleric at this moment.

According to Buni lmam Muhammad Alkali died at a time when his services were much needed to mobilise his followers to pray for the state and country at this challenging moment.

He then prayed to Almighty Allah to count the late Imam among the beneficiaries of His mercy in this Holy Month of Ramadan and to grant him Aljannatur Firdaus.

The governor also prayed to Allah to grant his family and the Emirate the fortitude to bear the huge and irreparable loss.
