A US-based Igbo businessman, Enyinnaya Mark Ogbonna, was killed by a guard he paid to protect him, after he returned to his State in Abia Isukwuato, to supervise his gas station project in his village.
It was gathered that the guard killed him out of greed and jealousy of the young man.
Enyinnaya was also said to have been living in the USA for a long time before he came to supervise his project and was killed by his guard.
It was disclosed that the deceased always went out with his bodyguard, ate and drank with him like a friend and brother. Last Sunday, he called him out so they could inspect his ongoing project. However, when they got there, the bodyguard, who was supposed to guard him, shot him dead and buried him in a shallow grave at the back of the gas station he was building.
After he was done killing the innocent young man, he took his Venza car away to sell in Port-Harcourt, but the buyer who was supposed to purchase the stolen car was clever enough to indicate, that the car price was low compared to the initial price.
The buyer started checking the car because it was suspicious and saw a number somewhere which hee called, and the wife of the deceased picked. The man told his wife how the car was brought to him to buy and the wife told him to hold on to the seller and the car, because she has been calling her husband for the past 3 days but he wasn’t answering her calls.
The prospective buyer alerted the police who came immediately and arrested the man, who later confessed and explained how he killed and buried him in a shallow grave at the back of the man’s gas station.
