Gunmen, who abducted a village head, Chief Mustapha Ibrahim and his wife in Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday, have released the couple.
According to a report by DAILY POST, a close source to the monarch confirmed the release of the couple on Friday morning, while adding that he has no knowledge of any ransom paid to the kidnappers.
“Yes, the village head and his wife have been released. I have called and it was confirmed that he has been released,” the source said.
Also confirming their release was the Olomi of Omi, Chief M.K.O. Adebayo, from one of the towns in the Ido local government area.
