Controversial human right activist Aisha Yesufu has called on our security agencies to ignore calls by Kaduna Ulamma, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi that they should negotiate with bandits and kidnappers but instead they should be arrested and killed.
Aisha Yesufu in a media statement described this as an unfortunate call by senior Nigerians like Ahmad Gumi on our security agencies to negotiate with bandits, according to her, it is too soft and a clear indication that the crime being committed by the culprits are not grievous enough.
It could be recalled that Sheikh Ahmad Gumi on Monday appealed to the Federal Government to enter dialogue with the gunmen because there are about a hundred thousand in the North alone if we want our children to continue going to school without them being kidnapped.
Gumi added that the bandits kidnapping our children are disappointed that he, Gumi negotiated without the involvement of the Federal Government as such no school will be saved without a proper negotiation.
However Aisha Yesufu in her response said the bandits are evildoers who are inflicting terror on the people of Nigeria and causing insecurity, hence they should be killed.
Bandits don’t deserve to live, God said we should never be transgressors but we should run or turn our back on those who transgress against us, so she is calling on the president who recently vowed to deal with the bandits and the new army chief who indicated his interest to deal with bandits and kidnappers to carry out their promise.
