Khadija Muktar Aminu is a 26-year-old cute, friendly and easy-going person. Khadija who read up to secondary school level has a very strong desire to go back to the University to read Medicine and become a Doctor.
She told Neptune Prime’s correspondent in Kano, Saleh Inuwa on Wednesday that she once saw a copy of a Northern based Newspaper with one Salisu Muhammed Officer the National Vice Chairman of Arewa Film Makers and when she went through the copy she came across an interview with another young actress Yaseera Babangida Aliyu since then she has been making contact to be featured in a National Daily.

Though she is only 26-year-old she said when she joined Kannywood she did not find it difficult to relate with A grade and famous Kannywood stars like Salisu Mohammed Officer, Mustapha Musty, Ali Nuhu, Yaseera Babangida, Ali Gumzak, Nura Inuwa, Fati Washa, Nafisat Abdullahi, Jamila Nagudu, and several others that she now sees them almost on daily basis.
Presently she said she has featured in several successful films like Tonan Asiri, Nura Inuwa’s high budget Afra Musical video and other television series which will be aired on Television stations start appearing on television stations, DVD videos and Micro Cassettes.
Khadija who insisted that all people have been talking about indecent activities happening in Kannywood are not true because since she joined the industry most of the male and female actors and actresses are decent people who are in the acting profession to make money and a career. The majority of them according to her don’t even smoke or drink and she can always vouch for the decency of members of the industry. As young and pretty as she is since she joined Kannywood most of those who related with her did so purely on professional matters and nothing else.
“Let us give credit to producers, directors and actors including actresses in Kannywood. Over the years she noted, she has been watching Indian films and other foreign films with keen interest. Today Gollywood, Nollywood, Bollywood, and other American films change by the day, what they do in most of these films especially Gollywood is nothing but pure sex. I mean they commit all sense of indecency in their films even Indians these days kiss openly in their films but in Kannywood even to hold female’s hands-on stage is a taboo so we should be commended for that”.
On how she joined the industry, she said there are good people that helped her but she is grateful to Salisu Mohammed Officer who has linked her up with several producers and directors. He also gives her advice from time to time which has helped her to secure very expensive jobs including appearances in music videos. Honestly, Salisu Mohammed Officer is an asset to Kannywood, most of Kannywood Actors and Actresses that secured facilities to sponsored their films from the Kano State Government, foreign institutions, financial institution, MTN, GLO, Airtel and several others were made possible because of the intervention of Salisu Mohammed Officer.
She continued that she intends to remain in Kannywood until she achieves her aim of being a successful actress, and to use acting to change the moral behaviour of females in a Muslim dominated society like the Northern part of the country. The world is changing we cannot afford to remain behind simply because some people do see those in Kannywood as wayward people, some even see us as cheap as a prostitute that is why they can spend any amount to marry us. After some years they decide to create flimsy excuses and send us parking, most of Kannywood stars that their marriages crashed in most cases you will discover that the fault is from the side of the man.
On who she wants to appear alongside as her husband in Kannywood, Khadija explained that in most cases directors, producers and sponsors of the film normally choose who and who to feature in their films. As for her any role which is given to her she always does her best because this is a job that you will get your money before you start, unlike salary workers that will wait for 30 days before getting their salaries so she has no immediate intention to leave Kannywood.
On the type of man she will want to prefer to settle with as her husband, she laughed and said she wants a very tall, strong, handsome and fair man to marry. He must be caring, very religious and a man that she can always be proud to present him in an event as her husband, though this does not mean she hates short people, the truth is many people have been telling her that she is very cute and truly she has noticed that herself she, therefore, will want to use her beauty and enjoy the best of life.
