Nigeria’s first son Yusuf Buhari, the only male child of President Muhammadu Buhari is set to get married.
It was reported that on June 27, a high-powered delegation of government officials visited the palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, to seek marriage for the President’s only son.
Yusuf Buhari is said to be engaged to Zahra Bayero, the 19-year-old daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Kano State, Alhaji Dr. Nasir Bayero.
It was learnt that the dignitaries were led by the Jigawa State governor, Abubakar Badaru, alongside, other governors and top government officials which includes the Attorney-General and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN.
The soon to be couple, Yusuf and Zahra Nasir met in the University of Surrey, United Kingdom where Zahra was undergoing her degree in Architecture.
Other dignitaries that visited the Emir’s palace in Kano regarding the marriage includes the Borno State Governor, Umaru Zulum, Sen A . Amosun, former Zamfara Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, DGss Y. Bichi, Prof Abdullahi Abba, Mal Ahmed, Sen. Ali Modu Sherrif, Sen. U Tanko Al-Makura, among others.
The wedding will reportedly hold between August and September 2021.
