Aisha Abubakar Usman is a 28-year-old ebony colour beauty. Aisha who has spent 6-years in Kannywood has featured in more than 30 hit movies, like Blackberry, Achuci maza, Ibro maciji and a host of others. Aisha who ventured into singing before acting attended her primary school in Kano, secondary school in Bauchi and later obtained a Diploma in Civil law from the college of Islamic and legal studies Kano.
The actress is also vast in Islamic Knowledge and can read and memorize the Holy Qur’an perfectly on her own.
On her role models, she said she likes the acting skills of Ali Nuhu, Adam A. Adam, Adam A. Zango, Sadik Sani Sadik and that of actresses like Halima Atete, Maryam Baban Yaro and Zainab Indomie.

In the cause of shooting films, she also visited places like Minna, Bida, Jigawa, Kaduna and Katsina her next target is to perform the Holy pilgrimage to Mecca.
Aisha Abubakar Usman spoke to Neptune Prime’s correspondent, Saleh Inuwa on Tuesday evening in Kano on marriage, challenges, politics and waywardness in the industry.
EXCERPTS OF THE INTERVIEW
Neptune Prime: Let’s start with your role in the film Acuci maza meaning how to cheat men, do you hate men?
Aisha: Laughter, it was just a film. Even God created men and women to live side by side to complement each other, how can I hate men, it is all entertainment to create awareness.
NP: You like speaking English am I speaking to a graduate at 28 years?
Aisha: Not exactly but I read up to Diploma in law, people call me Barrister. Insha Allah I will soon go back to school and read law, that is if I did not marry soon.
NP: Oh, so you are getting married soon?
Aisha: I did not say so but the truth is I have suitors, some are even in the industry. I was approached severally for relationships and I have some outside the industry. it’s not easy for a lady of my age to say she has no boyfriend and before the interview, you told me I am cute and attractive, so of course, I am a hot cake, I have admirers, and that is the truth.
NP: If you get married how do you intend to keep your husband to yourself only?
Aisha: Try me, when I get married you won’t see my husband frequently on the streets again ask him the reason, I will treat my husband with all the care like an egg, no quarrels, no misunderstandings.
NP: Will you then marry a man with three wives already?
Aisha: Love they say is blind but to marry a man with three wives is not easy to settle for an expired commodity at the first attempt.
NP: Who are your role models in Kannywood?
Aisha: Ali Nuhu, Adam A. Adam, Sadik Sani Sadik, Halima Atete, Asiah Ismiya, Zainab Indomie, Maryam Baban Yaro and Ummi Fulani.
NP: What is your ultimate ambition in Kannywood?
Aisha: To be famous and own my own house, car and possibly to be a female producer or director, but my dream remains to be a lawyer, I hate injustice.
NP: Talking about injustice, have you ever featured in a film that you were not paid.
Aisha: No I don’t know why, but they treat me fine here, I am happy.
NP: You said you travelled to many states including Niger Republic to shoot a film, I am sure in all cases you lodged in hotels, has any director ever knocked on your door?
Aisha: Laugh, I know what you mean, we do stay in hotels but we don’t share rooms with men and in all cases, the producer will ensure that we don’t mess up. Look we are not cheap as people think, acting is a decent profession it makes you popular, famous, rich and happy if I am not happy you will not see me here even for a million.
NP: Do you like politics?
Aisha: Somebody who is aspiring to be a lawyer cannot hate politics especially the Kwankwaso brand of politics the former Governor Kwankwaso has changed Kano completely during his tenure, in education, roads, electricity, water. Generally, he is the best thing that ever happened to Kano State, how I wish he will be the next president.
NP: What will you do?
Aisha: Well I don’t have money but I can compose soul-touching songs for him that will make him successful I am proud to witness his tenure.
NP: He has one wife if he proposes will you marry him?
Aisha: Such questions don’t need an answer, it is double yes, I will love to have him as my husband he is tough, courageous, intelligent, and still young and strong how I wish Allah will answer, your question, in the affirmative.
NP: For a cool N10 million will you act nude in a film that will not be shown in Nigeria?
Aisha: That is madness, remember, I am a Muslim. Though I want to be rich, it should be through decent means, not through prostitution.
