Hassan Ahmed, Nigerian Army General, murdered in Abuja, wife abducted

According to reports that came to Neptune Prime, the couple were coming from Okene when they were attacked.

“They opened fire on his vehicle, he died. The driver pretended to be dead from the wound he sustained, so they took the wife away”, said a witness.

The Chief of Army Staff, Faruk Yahaya recently appointed Ahmed a Director at the Army Headquarters in Abuja.

However, a press statement by Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director, Army Public Relations, which said the late army general will be  accorded a befitting burial at the Lungi Barracks Cemetery on Thursday 16 July 2021  by 10. 00 am was silent on the kidnap.

It rather said “a delegation from the Army Headquarters led by the Chief of Policy and Plans  (Army) Maj Gen Anthony Omozoje has visited the widow and other members of the bereaved family. Members of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) led by the  Deputy National President, Mrs  Stella Omozoje  have also visited the family to condole with them.”
