One of Kannywood’s richest actresses and controversial society lady, Rasheeda Adamu Abdullahi Maisaa has publicly denied that she and Hamisu Iyantama another Kannywood producer and director are getting married very soon.
Rasheeda who spoke with Neptune Prime’s correspondent, Saleh Inuwa 3 days ago in Kano, said she actually was the one that caused the so called rumor about her marriage and Iyantama.
“Last month I visited Iyantama in his office and I showed him a picture we took together several years back in a very romantic mood, and in told him that I will post it on the social media and see how people will react, with a caption saura kiris on it”.
She said they both laughed and she went ahead and posted the picture since then several online publishers have carried the report as if the wedding even took place. There is nothing like that between me and Iyantama, in fact when he started acting, I was a baby, not that he is too old to marry me but am only setting the record straight that we are not in any relationship.
EXCERPTS OF THE INTERVIEW
Neptune Prime: Rasheeda, I am happy to see you and let me ask you about your upcoming wedding with Iyantama?
Rasheeda: Which upcoming wedding, or you wanted to say online publication. Myself and Iyantama are very good friends and colleagues, we are not in any relationship. When he started acting I was even a baby, not that he cannot marry me but what I am saying is we are not dating.
NP: Have you finished your degree programme in Egypt or Sudan I can’t remember the exact country?
Rasheeda: This is an assignment for you, you know me for a long time, you interviewed me severally in the past, as such if you are not up to a mischief you can even write my biography.
NP: You seem to like trouble, is it because you are rich?
Rasheeda: I like trouble as how?
NP: Let me give you instances, there is never a time a crisis will erupt in Kannywood without you making a comment. Two years ago you fought left and right, women who used Hamisu Breaker’s music to celebrate sallah and many others?
Rasheeda: We are the stakeholders in Kannywood, in Rahma Sauda’s many scandals, then the Hamisu Breaker episode. And one small boy that embarrassed me on the social media that he wants to marry me. I don’t take rubbish as a person, I was a special adviser to Governor Ganduje for many years. I was in politics for many years and an elder in Kannywood, so am in position to comment on anything concerning the industry.
NP: So Iyantama or no Iyantama when are you getting married?
Rasheeda: I will get married when the time comes.
NP: We saw your picture on social media threatening that given the chance you can kill Nasiru Abduljabar Kabara, is it true?
Rasheeda: I can do anything to defend my religion, Islam, for now that is how far I can go.
