They protested for being disqualified due to the negligence of the country’s sports officials who failed to carry out the necessary documentation of the athletes.

According to reports, the athletes were disqualified by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).

They were declared ineligible after reportedly failing the minimum testing requirements under Rule 15.

Also, there were allegations by the athletes in some quarters that the officials have cornered the mobile phones given to them by Samsung, a major sponsor of the tournament.
