Human rights activist has reported a man, Timothy Shikaan, for assaulting his wife repeatedly in Delta state.
Timothy, 34, is a native of Benue State but based at Temple Clinic Asaba, Delta State with his wife.
According to reports, Timothy has made it a habit to beat his wife at any slight provocation in their home, leaving her with severe injuries and bleeding eyes.
The repeated assault was reported to human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who is the DG of Behind Bars Human Rights Foundation, who first paid a visit to the husband before involving the police.
At the couple’s home, the woman was found with welts on her back and arms and bleeding from the eye, as a result of the beatings she received from her husband.
The husband was handed over to the Divisional Police Station, Asaba, and is currently in detention.
