Armed gunmen yesterday night stormed the house of one Babangida Haruna in Gusau metropolis and fired several shots at his door, and took away his young wife and his son to an unknown destination.
Haruna while narrating his experience to neighbours and the press, said: “When the bandits came, they shouted at me to open the door for them but I refused. Later, they started firing at the door with sophisticated weapons, and after the door was damaged, they got into my apartment and took away my only wife and child.

“I attempted to confront them to rescue my wife and child, but they shot me in my hand and I collapsed, and before I gained consciousness, they were nowhere to be found. They did not search the house for money or valuable materials”.
Recently, the northern part of the country has been subjected to series of kidnappings, banditry and armed gunmen who carry sophisticated weapons around.
