Abductors demand N500 million for release of kidnapped Niger commissioner

The abductors of Niger state commissioner for information, Muhammed Sanni Idris, have reportedly demanded the sum of N500 million ransom to secure his release.

Neptune Prime had reported gow the commissioner was abducted from his home at Baban Tunga village in Tafa local government of the State in the early hours of Monday.

Although there is no official update from the state government on the incident apart from the confirmation by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mary Noel-Berje, on the abduction, the government has gone into an extended security meeting at Government House.

The meeting is being presided over by the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Ketso, with all the security heads in the state in attendance.
