Yobe state Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, today presented Sen. Andy Uba, the Anambra Governorship candidate of the party to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.
In a statement signed by the DG, Press and Media Affairs Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni said the party is approaching the election with a united front.
He commended the people of Anambra state for rallying around the candidate to ensure a successful outing in the Governorship election.
He also said the fortune of the party has improved tremendously with high profile defection of Sen. Joy Emordi and Sen. Stella Oduah.
President Buhari commended the committee for conducting a successful primary that produced Sen. Uba, as he is anxious for the party’s success in the election.
“I am happy to formally welcome you. I certainly wish you the best of luck. I’m anxious for your success, and will closely follow,”
President Buhari thereafter presented the party’s flag to Sen. Uba to contest the governorship election.
