Islamic New Year: Kebbi declares Monday public holiday

The Kebbi State Government has declared Monday 9th of August, 2021 as a public holiday in the state which is the first of Muharram 1443 after the Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him in the Islamic Calendar.

A statement made available to newsmen signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, stated that, the Ag. Head of the State Civil Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, said Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, wishes all people in the state a happy and prosperous Islamic new year calendar.

The statement said the Governor urged people to continue to pray for peace, unity and economic prosperity of the state, nation and its leaders.
