Plateau LG aspirant commends APC for peaceful congresses

An All Progressive Congress (APC) local government Chairmanship aspirant, Ishaya Itse, has commended the peaceful conduct of the party faithful in the just concluded ward congresses in the state.

Itse, who gave the commendation in a press statement in Jos, said the large turnout of members was a recognition of the party’s acceptance by people of the state and the performance of the Rescue Administration under the leadership of Governor Simon Lalong.

He appreciated Governor Lalong, the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Idris Maje and minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen as well as the Secretary to the Government of State, Prof Danladi Abok Atu for taking their time to supervise the ward congresses in Jos Jarawa Ward, Gangare, Abba na Shehu and other wards in the locality.

The chairmanship aspirant equally appreciated the steadfastness and commitment of the state caretaker committee of the party for putting perfect machinery in place for the peaceful conduct of the exercise.

He also expressed delight with the way and manner members of the party conducted themselves noting that the exercise was worthy of emulation and urged other parties in the country to emulate the APC in Plateau State.

He explained that the exercise was the beginning of the Housekeeping process that would ensure people with impeccable character are properly voted into office.
