Bandits release 5 out of 73 kidnapped school students in Zamfara

Five out of the 73 Government secondary students kidnapped by bandits have regain freedom from captivity.

Police confirmed that the students were kidnapped on Wednesday at the Government Day Secondary School Kaya in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

A former councilor of Kaya ward, Yahaya Kaya, confirmed the release of the five students to The PUNCH on Thursday.

Kaya said his daughter, Amina, was among the students released by the bandits.

Acccording to him, the five students were taken back to their hometown Kaya, around 1am on Thursday.

He maintained that they were all in good health and good condition when they were released.
