Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomoi, of Yobe South, representing Potiskum, Nangere, Fune and Fika Local Government Areas of Yobe South Senatorial District, on Saturday empowered 29 members of his constituency with 29 brand new tricycles.

Distributing the tricycles to the beneficiaries in Potiskum, Bomai’s Constituency Agent, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed, said the empowerment was part of the senator’s constituency projects.

He noted that the beneficiaries were encouraged to engage in tricycle business to mitigate redundancy, earn a living and become self-reliant.

Mohammed said others would soon benefit from sewing, handset repairs and basic business skills training.

The constituency agent called on the constituents to continue to support Bomai for more dividends of democracy.

A beneficiary, Mamman Abubakar from Potiskum, thanked the senator for the empowerment, saying it would enable him to cater for his family’s needs.

Habu Baba, another beneficiary from Fika, called on other lawmakers in the area to emulate Bomai’s empowerment projects which he scored 80 percent.

Another beneficiary from Nangere, Umar Bura, also thanked the Federal Government for providing the funds for the empowerment.
