Bandits kill 30 in Niger
No fewer than 30 persons were killed in a fresh attack in Niger state as some gun-wielding men suspected to be bandits attacked Sarkin Pawa, headquarters of Munya local government area of the state.
It was gathered that the assailants in their large numbers first attacked Kachiwe village and later spread to other adjourning villages in the area.

According to a report by Naija News, the bandits came into the communities riding on motorcycles and started shooting sporadically to scare the villagers during which the reported figures were killed.
The Secretary to the Niger State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, while reacting to the incident said the State Government is not leaving any stone unturned in its efforts at combing the terrorists out of the state and bringing them to face the law.
“What is happening to us in Niger State in terms of insecurity is beyond our power and this is why we are calling on the Federal Government to come to our rescue immediately.”
The attack, according to Naija News is coming barely a month after bandit terrorists kidnapped the district head of Wawa community in Borgu Kingdom of Niger State, Dr Mahmud Ahmed Aliyu.
The gunmen had attacked the palace of Ahmed Aliyu during the weekend and abducted him at gunpoint.
