Breaking: Zamfara Gov’t imposes curfew in 13 LGA’s, state capital

In view of the security challenges in Zamfara State, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ayuba N Elkana on Wednesday has announced a 6pm to 6am curfew on the 13 Local Government Areas and 8pm to 6am in the state capital, Gusau.

Also all schools and tertiary institutions have been shutdown with immediate effect.

Earlier in the day, unspecified number of Students in Government Secondary School, Kaya in Maradun LGA were said to have been abducted by some suspected armed bandits, according to Radio Nigeria in Gusau.

They also launched an attack on Gurbin Bore Village.

However, CP Elkana did not give details as regard the abduction and the attack.
