Gov. Yahaya Bello directs security agencies to unravel those behind Kabba prison attack

Security Agencies in Kogi state have been directed to unravel the perpetrators of the jailbreak in Kabba, Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Governor Yahaya Bello stated this in a message during the spot assessment of the jailbreak in Kabba.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja said his passion for securing the lives and property of the people of Kogi State is second to none nationwide, noting that the security Arctheture of the state will be reviewed.
Governor Bello described the JailBreak as an unfortunate incident and reiterated the determination of the government to ensure that such never happened again in Kogi State.
Governor Bello said Kogi State will continue to remain ahead of its detractors and Commended security Agencies for ensuring that some of the escapees return to the prison
The Governor extended his Deepest condolences to the Families of the Officers who Lost their lives and thanked the local Communities for supporting the state government.
At the Palace of the Obaro of Kabba Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi who described the incident as the first of its kind in the area appealed to the State Government to prevail on the Judiciary to fast track the release of the inmates awaiting trials to reduce prison congestion.
In their separate speeches, the Assistant DIG Prison Abuja Muhammed Salami and the State Security Adviser Retired Commodore Jerry Omodara said some of the prisoners have started coming back through the help of the local vigilante in the area adding that security agencies have swung into the investigation to capture perpetrators of the crime.
