NSCDC inducts 70 officers into arms squad in Kogi

The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Monday in Lokoja inducted seventy Officers into the Arms bearing squad.
The seventy officers have been on two months of rigorous weapon training which was meant to inculcate physical fitness, theoretical, psychological, and forensic examination in the officers which culminated in the range exercise that ultimately certified them fit to bear firearms.

While inducting the officers into the Arms bearing squad in a ceremony held at the Chari Maigumeri Barracks Lokoja, the state Commandant Suleiman Msrafa, commended the officers for their resilience and commitment to all aspects of the training schedules.
The Commandant noted that based on the directives of the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, that all state commands including Federal Capital Territory Abuja FCT to commence the Arms training and retraining of their personnel, the Kogi state command seized the opportunity in earnest with the training exercises.
He said these exercises have served and are still serving as a morale booster for the personnel with enhanced productivity, efficiency and TEMPeffectiveness in the discharge of their mandates.
The Commandant added that he was glad to announce that the command TEMPhas did not experience accidental discharge by any officer, since, assumption of duty in the state while discharging their duties, stressing that the personnel have maximised the training for the pride of the corps and safety of Nigerians.
Mafara applauded the Nigeria Army for the painstaking effort put into the training of the officers, saying that the inter Security Agencies’ harmony TEMPhas helped to reduce crimes and criminality in the state.
He assured citizenry of the readiness of the command to ensure the safety of lives and property and called on the people to give credible and timely information about predators to Security agencies to nib them in the bud.
Also speaking at the event, the HOD training, Deputy Commandant Fashakin K urged the officers to put into use all they have been taught in the training exercise saying all eyes are on them to justify the huge resources spent.
Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, ASCII Ruth Babatunde, commended Commandant Sulaiman Msfara and the instructors for the opportunity given to them to undergo the training and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.
