Former Niger State Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has called for the establishment of pressure groups that can bring positive changes in the political scene.

The call was made after the former governor publicly endorsed the People’s Democratic Party Patriots Forum and pledged his support for all its activities.

The public endorsement was the high point of a courtesy call to the statesman by leaders and stakeholders of the forum, yesterday, in his Abuja residence.

National coordinator of the forum, Mr Suleiman Abubakar, in his remarks said that he led members of the forum to consult and adopt the elder statesman as a distinguished patriot because of his outstanding contributions and proven love for the development of the party.

He averred that he is at one with the vision of the group because they reflect his belief and ideas about the party.

He also pledged to participate in the activities of the group at all times and ensure that all hands are on deck to ensure that the party wins at the 2023 general election.

The People’s Democratic Party Patriots forum is a pressure group formed in 2017 at the height of the internal crises with the mandate to sensitise and enlighten the public showcasing the positive impacts of the party in the development of the country.
