Gov. Buni approves payments of scholarship, bursary to 38,183 Yobe students
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has approved the payment of scholarships and bursaries to 38,183 Yobe indigene students studying in different tertiary institutions across the country.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by Tijjani Ciroma, Information Officer, Yobe State Scholarship Board, Damaturu and made available to newsmen on Sunday.
According to him, “The Yobe State Scholarships Board is pleased to inform all applicant/beneficiaries that His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, the Executive Governor of Yobe State has on 8th October 2021 approved the payment of scholarships and bursaries to the 38,183 Yobe indigenes across Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges.
Ciroma said the Yobe State Scholarship Board has concluded all arrangements to meet with representatives of the students/beneficiaries from various higher institutions in order to discuss payment modalities.
“The Board will meet with student leaders in the coming week to draw modalities on verification and payment schedules”. The Board will furnish all applicant/beneficiaries with more details.”
