Shehu Zailani emerges Bauchi College of Agric Deputy Provost

A new deputy provost of the Bauchi State College of Agriculture has emerged one year after the seat remained vacant.
The management of the school elected the new deputy provost yesterday in the person of Dr Shehu Zailani Abdulkadir during its 34th meeting.

Until his election, Zailani was the head of the Department of Animal Health Technology and the immediate past dean of students’ affairs of the school.
He defeated two other candidates including the head of the Fisheries Technology Department, Malam Aminu Garba and the Head of the Department of Agricultural Extension Management, Dr Briskilla Emefese to emerge as the new deputy provost.
Our Correspondent reports that Zailani is a PhD holder in Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
Bauchi State College of Agriculture is a monotechnic Institution established with the objective of promoting food and animal farming through training of students to be professionals agriculturists and extension workers.
