Suspected ESN/IPOB gunmen attack police headquarters in Ebonyi, free detainees
Suspected ESN/IPOB gunmen have attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters situated in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and freed persons detained in the station.
Loveth Odah, the Ebonyi State Police Command spokesperson, confirmed the attack to Daily Post.

The incident was reported to have taken place on Monday morning, thereby plunging the area into chaos as residents and officers scampered for safety.
Odah said the command has sent officers to the affected station to get more information on the attack, but, however, according to reports, operational vehicles were also set ablaze by the hoodlums while some officers sustained bullet wounds.
It was also reported that the attack may not be unconnected to the current unrest in some parts of the southeast following the declaration of a sit-at-home order by members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
