Tragedy: 19-year-old SS3 student in Maiduguri kills himself (Gory picture)

A 19-year-old Zakari Ibrahim, that has just written his SS3 exams, in Alagarno, in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, have mistakenly shot himself in the neck with a live gun.
An eyewitness told our Neptune Prime correspondent, that Zakari Ibrahim just returned from the farm and was preparing to take his bath when his half-brother Mohammed Ibrahim, came out with a gun from their father’s room and asked to be taught how to operate the gun, which Zakari did.

Later Mohammed handed over the gun to Zakari to take it back to their father’s room, which he did, but when dropping the gun according to members of the family he mistakenly pressed the trigger and the gun went off, killing him instantly.
It was gathered that because of the Boko Haram crisis in the Northeast, most family men have purchased a gun to protect themselves, the gun in question owned by Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Askira is fully registered, but after the incident security agencies are investigating how he came across the gun, to determine whether it is registered.
At the time of filing this report, the deceased has since been buried according to the Islamic rite, and members of the community visit the family and sympathize with them, Alhaji Ibrahim has two wives and many children, the deceased is from the second wife, Hajiya Adama he left behind, a brother, many sisters, his father and mother.
