Zamfara to restore telecommunication services soon – Official

Worried by the complete absence of communication throughout Zamfara State, which has affected Government and business operations, the Zamfara state government has indicated its willingness to restore network communication in Gusau metropolis, and subsequently in other major towns of the state.
The Zamfara State Commissioner for Information, Youths and Culture, Comrade Ibrahim Dosara while addressing journalists explained that the state governor, Bello Matawalle Maradun is immensely impressed by the way people of the state accepted to stay without telecommunication services, even though lack of it led to many difficulties and loss of finances due to the long absence.

Dosara added that the Governor has finished all arrangements to cushion people’s suffering in the state by distributing large quantities of foodstuff to the less privileged and those that are in need throughout the state, which will assist in getting people’s cooperation whenever government is coming up with any new policy that may be comfortable or not.
Ibrahim Dosara, a popular former BBC Correspondent, is also an experienced media personality, has on behalf of Zamfara State Government, commended members of the armed forces, the police, Vigilante and Association of Hunters for coming together to fight bandits in the state, he said their effort is already yielding positive results and the exercise will continue for maximum success.
He further urged all well meaning citizens of Zamfara State to put aside political differences and assist the Matawalle Administration in moving the state forward by restoring peace and development to all sectors of the economy.
He also expressed appreciation to the Federal Government for deploying military personnel with sophisticated weapons, to deal massively with who over the years have made life a living hell for the people of Zamfara state.
Revealing that bandits activities have crippled social and financial services, stopped investors from coming to the state, noting that government resources that should have been channelled to providing succour to citizens are been used to fight criminals.
He, however, expressed optimism that very soon by the grace of Allah, peace and security will be restored to all sectors of the state.
