A reliable security source in Kaduna told Neptune Prime that Gide was killed at Kuyambana forest in Kaduna State, after a heated argument with his deputy, Sani Dan Makama.

Dogo Gide before his death was said to have made millions from kidnapping and one of the dangerous bandits that met some time ago with Kaduna-based Ulama, Dr Ahmad Gumi, where he agreed to lay down his arms if the government will fully rehabilitate them. Sheik Gumi, before leaving Dogo Gide in the forest, presented him with copies of the Holy Qur’an.
Neptune Prime’s correspondent also gathered that Gide was killed by his deputy after a small argument at Kuyambana forest linking Zamfara, Dogon Dawa and Birnin Gwari.
Gide was said to have directed that nobody should sell cigarettes, alcohol, or dangerous drugs, which did not go down well with Makama and led to him killing Dogo Gide.
