How bandits killed seven policemen in Zamfara (Video)

Armed bandits, Tuesday, attacked a team of Policemen in Zonai village in Magami District, Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing at least seven officers.
The incident left residents in panic, over the fear of more attacks on the community by the gunmen.

According to some of the residents that spoke with the press, they said the officers were returning from where they had mounted a checkpoint near Zonai village along Gusau, Magami and Dansadau following frequent attacks on the community.
About 35 mobile officers were in the team, and after the attack, seven of them were killed and the rest were taken to hospital with several injuries. The public relations department of Zamfara Police Command had not released a statement about what happened at the time of this report but eyewitnesses said they were returning from an assignment and passing to Jigawa State.
