Insecurity: Total curfew imposed on Askira, Uba towns
Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano
Soldiers in Askira and Uba towns, in collaboration with Emirs and opinion leaders, have decided to impose a total curfew on the area, while also cutting off communication services.
On Monday, the Emir of Askira, Alhaji Abdullahi IBN Askirama took a flight from Yola to Kaduna where he visited the family of slain General Nzarma Nzurkusu at the Defence Academy, Kaduna and also visited families of three other soldiers that were killed with the General in Askira and Uba.

Similarly, the Emir of Askira visited the families of some victims that were abducted about nine days ago and are yet to be found. The Emir promised to continue strategising with the Army on how to secure the area.
A reliable source told Neptune Prime’s correspondent today that Askira and its surrounding areas are still undergoing massive bombardment by ISWAP fighters, even though about 50 of their men were killed, vehicles destroyed and several of their ammunitions seized by the Army.
