Hanifa: We’re making efforts to get justice for the gruesome murder – Nigerian Gov’t
The Nigerian Government said it is making efforts to get justice for the gruesome murder of a 5-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar who was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by her teacher, Mr Abdulmalik Tanko.
The late Hanifa was murdered at a private school, Noble Kids located at Kwanar Dakata in Nasarawa Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State recently.
Education Minister, Adamu Adamu, who condemned the killing of Hanifa in a statement signed by Ben Bem Goong, the Ministry’s spokesperson, applauded the steps being taken by the Kano State government to address the ugly incident.

“We are watching this national tragedy very closely and we are interested in seeing that justice is not only done but explicitly seeing to be done.
“If a child can not be safe in the hands of his/her teacher, where else can the child be safe,” the minister queried.
He added that the killing of Hanifa is an assault on the entire teaching profession and must not be allowed to happen again.
“We sympathize with the parents of the innocent baby and pray that Allah condoles them in the best way possible,” Adamu reiterated.
