How I met Jaafar Jaafar in London – Kano APC Chairman
Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano
The embattled APC Chairman in Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas has explained that it is true that he and the publisher of Daily Nigeria, Jaafar Jaafar met in London recently, and had a discussion.
While complaining to the media guru about how he released a dollar scandal video about Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, he said: “I have come a long way with Ganduje, and there is no way one will even speculate that I will betray him by meeting Jaafar Jaafar in London.
“I was in London on vacation with my family and we met on a street with the publisher of Daily Nigeria and we discussed with him and I complained to him bitterly about what he did to our leader. He also told me his own side of the story, later, he asked me for a photograph which we took and that was the end of it”.
On Ganduje’s condolence visit to Governor Kwankwaso in his house in Kano, Abdullahi Abbas noted that there is nothing wrong with that because even when Kwankwaso’s father died, he was among those who followed Ganduje to Karaye and Kwankwaso to sympathize with the Emir there. As such, what Ganduje did should even be commended and not condemned, and in case they later reconcile in the process, there is nothing bad in that, he added.
Abdullahi Abbas is currently in court over the ruling by the Court of Appeal nullifying his election as Kano APC chairman and declaring Ahmad Danzago from Senator Shekarau camp as the duly elected APC Chairman in Kano, but he has since appealed to the Supreme Court.
“People should know that Ganduje still has Civil and Criminal cases against Jaafar Jaafar in court, so the issue is not over and we are Insha Allah going to secure favourable judgment from the court”.
