Parents of alleged killer of Hanifa Abubakar on the run – Neighbours allege

The parents of Abdulmalik Tanko, the alleged killer of young Hanifa Abubakar, are on the run for fear of attack by sympathizers of the deceased.
Their neighbours in Tudun Murtala Quarters told the press that people have been attempting to attack them or burn down their house.
According to the residents’ account, at the moment, nobody can tell where they are hiding, one night they just sneaked out of the area with a few of their belongings to an unknown place. Even calls to their phones by close relatives are not going through, possibly they decided to turn them off so that they will not be located.

But some security sources, gathered by Neptune Prime’s, correspondent indicated that they are under police protection in a facility belonging to security agencies. In fact, there are people who made it open through the media that if they can get Hanifa’s killer or their parents they will give them the same treatment late Hanifa was given or even burn them openly.
It could be recalled that Abdulmalik Tanko even in court has confessed of killing Hanifa, but denied that he did not mutilate her body. He put her in a bag, but because the bag was small he folded her legs.
He also told the court that he sent late Hanifa’s uniform back to her parents after they agreed to pay his demand, the uniform and her badge is to prove to the parents that he was truly with him.
