PMB appoints Aliyu Tahir as NEMSA MD/CEO

President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB), had approved the appointment of Engr Aliyu Tukur Tahir as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).

Tahir, now the Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation, was the General Manager (Technical) at NEMSA, according to a statement posted on social media.
A Pioneer Staff of NEMSA, Engr Aliyu was a staff of the Electrical Inspectorate Department of the Federal Ministry of Power until he was appointed on secondment to the Presidential Task Force on Power in the year 2011, where he served till 2015. In 2013, Aliyu was again seconded to NEMSA
on national assignment.

Similarly, at the Federal Ministry of Power, Yobe-born Engr Aliyu rose to the rank of a deputy director in the Electrical Inspectorate Services Department, now the Renewable Energy Department of the Federal Ministry of Power.
His predecessor and pioneer MD/CEO of NEMSA, Engr Peter Ewesor, had earlier quitted at the expiration of his tenure.
