A 19-year-old Collins Sambaya was reportedly nailed to a tree in the Vihiga’s Sabatia sub-county in Kenya for allegedly stealing a radio.
The incident came to public knowledge according to Capital FM after it was reported to the police by a local chief.

The police officers after rescuing Sambaya disclosed that the person who nailed him to the tree, Elvis lrime, had already absconded before their arrival.
“Police visited the scene and found that one male adult aged 19yrs had been injured by one Elvis lrime by nailing him on a tree on the allegation that the victim had stolen his radio within Chamasili village,” a police report documenting the incident read.
Meanwhile, the victim is responding to treatment at the Mbale County Referral Hospital.
