Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde has paid homage to the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Lekan Balogun.
This is coming barely two weeks to the coronation of the monarch as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, on March 11, 2022.

Neptune Prim reported that the Governor approved the appointment of the Monarch after the position became vacant on Sunday 2nd January this year.
The approval follows a recommendation made by the Olubadan-in-Council which was communicated to the governor recently.
The Olubadan-designate once served as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 1999 and 2003.
The immediate past Olubadan, Saliu Adetunji wast the 41st Olubadan of Ibadan following his coronation on 4 March 2016, he died January 2, 2022.
