I faked my kidnap, stayed in boyfriend’s house for 3 days – 17-year-old girl confesses upon
A 17-year-old girl named Chidiadi Chukwuemeka was paraded alongside her boyfriend, Emmanuel Christopher, on Sunday by the law enforcement officers attached to the Edo State Police Command for faking her kidnap.
While being paraded, the girl revealed the main purpose behind her action.
She said, “I faked being kidnapped and stayed in my boyfriend’s house for three days.”
She added that after faking the kidnapping, her brother was contacted for a ransom of five hundred thousand naira but the money wasn’t raised by the family member.
After staying in her boyfriend’s house for three days, she was forced (by the boyfriend) to report herself to the nearest police station.
The boyfriend aged 28, made it known that he wasn’t feeling too comfortable with the plan after three days.
Chidiadi also made it known that her brother was only able to raise twenty thousand naira out of the requested amount.
The money wasn’t spent by the boyfriend till he was eventually arrested.
The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Bello Kontongs, said that the lovebirds will likely be charged to court when investigations are finalised.
