Indigenes of 4 states resident in Plateau back Hon. Aku’s candidacy in bye-election

The campaign organization of Honourable Joseph Abbey Aku for Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency have drummed support for his candidacy in the forthcoming bye-election scheduled on 26th February 2022.
About four states of Benue, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Kogi communities resident in Plateau are all vying for him.
The Chairman of the campaign, Honourable Francis Gazu who represented Honourable Joseph Abbey Aku solicited the cooperation of all a sundry to vote wisely for an APC candidate who is promising and highly intelligent and someone that understood Plateau politics very well.
He said: “We are here today to canvas for your support at the forthcoming bye-election which we ensure that the campaign trains left no residents in doubt by going to the house to house electioneering campaign to woo your vote.
Gazu explained further that, the Muslim community in Jos North LGA revealed their plan not to support a Christian candidate in spite that they’re in APC but taking twice to defect to RPR.
Based on this development, we have invited all of you here not to throw away your vote during the election, we charge you all to support Honourable Abbey Joseph Aku to make plateau better .
Francis Gazu stressed that the politics of bitterness and rancour is not part of Christian community but we are calling on our people to overwhelmingly come out and vote Abbey Aku for us to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

He commended Governor Simon Lalong for his visionary leadership style of promoting the tenets of democracy by ensuring that all the ethnic nationality residents in Plateau participated in the election .
In a separate speech, Benue spokesman, Mr Tony Ajende, expressed dissatisfaction with the candidature of Honourable Joseph Abbey Aku but lamented that their people have suffered politics negligence and rejection under the Plateau people.
He challenged the government to include the following people in some of his appointments instead of recognizing tribes and zones that are not parts of the Benue/Plateau.
Tony added that their people own houses in Jos North LGA which was the administration headquarters of Benue/Plateau but have been excluded completely from the political activities.
Our people would support the indigents but whenever it comes to election nobody remembers us again, we continue to suffer this injustice as we play a vital role in campaigning for them.
John Magaji Kogi leader urged the plateau government to carry them along because all the middle-belt people have contributed to the development of plateau democracy but their children are not given attention to secure employment.
We are not supporting your candidacy because of peanut but to ensure that one of our own emerge victorious and all we are asking from you is not to give us money but provide conducive atmosphere for children to strife.
