A senior secondary school (SS) 2 student of Anglican Commercial Secondary School, Orita-Mefa, Ibadan, Oyo State, has been suspended for one month for slapping a corp member.
The student’s suspension was ordered by the State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Rahman Abdu-Raheem, during a visit to the school on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Abdu-Raheem said the student on return would apologise to the corp member and sign an undertaking.
The commissioner while addressing the students, charged them to be of good behaviour, reiterating that the state government would not condone any act of indiscipline from them.
He warned that any student caught acting in uncivilized manners, henceforth, would be dismissed from schools in Oyo State.
Abdu-Raheem also charged teachers to be more dedicated and punctual at work.
