Nigeria’s first female vice-chancellor, Professor Grace Alele-Williams, has reportedly died.
She died at the age of 89, according to The Guardian Nigeria.

Late Alele-Williams became the vice-chancellor of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in 1985.
She was also the first Nigerian woman to obtain a doctorate degree in 1963.
Alele-Williams was a professor of mathematics.
The circumstances surrounding her death are unclear as at the time of filing this report.
