“I’m frustrated as my ministry is not growing” – pastor rescued during suicide attempt (video)

A yet to be identified pastor has been rescued by some well-meaning Nigerians while attempting to commit suicide in a video obtained by Neptune Prime on Thursday.

The pastor believed to be in his 40s was seen under a tree hanging almost lifeless on a rope tied to a branch of the tree when some residents in the area in panic mood rushed to his aid to untie him from the rope and they brought him down.

The clergyman regained consciousness after pouring on him and in the process others joined in the scene including his wife, daughter and two uniformed men.

When asked why he wanted to take his life, he said: “Where is my wife?

“I am tired, you people should have allowed me to pass away.

“Allow me to pass away. I am tired, I am tired.”

Panic crowd were curious further asked him to explain.

He responded:

“Since I opened my ministry, no members, since I have been serving God, since year 2000 that I opened my ministry, no members, only 15.”

He further lamented:

“God you called me, I have prayed and fasted, I have done everything to make sure that my church grows, I have gone for evangelism, I have done vigil to make sure that my church grows.”

According to the pastor, all his colleagues they attended the same school of ministry are doing well while he still remains at the same spot.

“All those that I attended ministry school with they are doing well, they are travelling abroad.

He also complained of not having enough funds to pay his workers in the church.

“I will not see money to settle my members working for me. There is nothing I have not done,” he added.

He was however rushed to the hospital to receive further medical attention.
