Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack: Gov. El-Rufai urges military to raid bushes, terminate terrorists

Two days after bandits massacred passengers travelling from Abuja to Kaduna at Kateri, Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasiru El-Rufai has call on security personnel in the country to raid bushes and put an end to all criminals.
El-Rufai made the call when he granted an interview to Hausa service of BBC, he said that on the day of judgment, God will subject all mischief makers, corrupt leaders to series of questions and they must give account of their time in office.
The Governor who was asked whether his administration will pay compensation for those killed in the recent Kaduna train attack said no payment will be made.
“No, we will not pay because we have been alerting government of dangers posed on the road, twice we wrote to Nigerian Railway Corporation to stop travelling from Abuja to Kaduna or Kaduna to Abuja in the night, they ignored, why?”.
“I am also aware that there is a gadget if mounted on the locomotives, they can spot dangers 50km away, why was this not implemented, and by the way, the terrorists that carried out the Kaduna attack used sophisticated methods, they obviously trained for a very long time, that is why they easily identify the coaches carrying the VIP and massacred substantial number of them, so Kaduna State Government will not take the blame and we will not pay any money to anybody.
“Another issue that always bothered me is that all these criminals including “Dogo Gide” the most dangerous, we have their numbers, we know their movements, we know the bushes they stay, and whenever they are going to attack, we use to have advance information, why can’t the military go to them direct in the bush and kill them, we only wait when they attack, then we respond, this is baffling me, we have a well-trained Army, Air Force, Police and you are telling me we cannot go to the bush and eliminate these bandits, we have failed, we have failed our people, God will definitely judge us based on our failure or success”.
“Now that it has reached this alarming rate, we are going to meet the Governors of Sokoto, Zamfara, (myself) Kaduna, Kebbi, Katsina and Niger, if it means us hiring foreign mercenaries to come and assist us, we will do so, we cannot continue to allow bandits kill our people at will, I am really tired and agitated.
“Look at how we are loosing investors, the power sector is collapsing, security is threatening to overrun the country, we must sit up and discharge our responsibilities.” The governor added.
