317 police sergents promoted to inspectors in Gombe (Photos)

The Commissioner of Police Gombe State Command, Ishola Babaita, on Saturday decorated 317 police sergeants that have been promoted to the ranks of inspectors.
Babaita while decorating the newly promoted inspectors at the police officers’ mess said the officers were selected from the police headquarters in the state and different divisions, area commands and outposts.
He said the state command recommended the new inspectors to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in consideration of their commitment to duties.
According to him, the IGP also provided uniforms, boots and other working tools to all the 317 promoted inspectors.
He urged the inspectors to reciprocate the gesture by re-dedicating themselves to protecting the lives and property of the citizens.
“I urge you to be on your toes to rid the state of criminals elements. I also want to express appreciation to the IGP for his support to the state command. This is the first time in the state 317 officers got promotions at the same time”. He said.
