Abuja – Kaduna Train Attack: Families of abducted victims seek Nigerian gov’ts intervention

The families of the kidnapped victims of the 28th March train attack have pleaded with the Nigerian Government to expedite action and secure the release of their siblings and loved ones.
Recall that bandits on the 28th of March, attacked a Kaduna bound train, killing about nine persons in the process and abducting scores.
The abductees who have so far spent 18 days in captivity have their kidnappers demanding that the government free their members detained by security agencies in exchange for the kidnapped passengers.

Neptune Prime reports that the abductees and their families have continued to cry out to the authorities to facilitate their release without further delay.
Hussaina Ciroma, a sister to one of the kidnapped passengers who led other family members while addressing a press conference on Thursday in Damaturu, Yobe state called on President Muhammadu Buhari, security agencies and all state actors to step up action in rescuing their wards.
“Mr President, we beg you for the sake of Allah and this holy month of Ramadan to pity us and come to our aid.
“Our brethren are held captive for 16 days in the forest, we don’t know what they eat, where they sleep and what is happening to them.
“We cannot eat, we cannot go to work. Please help us.
“We are faced with psychological trauma at home, we don’t eat, we are worried, we are in a most terrible and difficult situation. We have been in serious anguish since the day they were abducted. Many of us have not been sleeping. We are like living corpses, we want the government to help us secure their release from captivity,” the families jointly pleaded.
