Amaechi commissions bus mass transit scheme in Ogun (photos)

Nigeria’s Minister of Transport, Chibuike Amaechi, on Thursday commissioned the Ogun Bus Mass Transit Scheme which will aid residents to commute within the state.

The transit scheme launched in Abeokuta, the state capital is a renewal of the intra and inter-city transport system and master plan, according to the governor, Chief Dapo Abiodun.

The buses commissioned are free wifi-enabled and air-conditioned.

“We launched the free wifi-enabled and air-conditioned Ogun Pilot Bus Mass Transit Scheme this afternoon in Abeokuta towards a renewed intra- and inter-city transport system and master plan,” the governor stated.

“The bus scheme is part of our Strategic Transport Masterplan that will move the people in, through and around Nigeria’s commercial capital.”

The auspicious event was attended by the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, former governor of the state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and other dignitaries.
