Easter: FRSC Bauchi command deploys 858 regular, special marshals

The Bauchi State Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed a total of 858 personnel made of regular and special marshals to ensure accident-free Easter celebrations.
The Sector Commander, Yusuf Abdullahi, said that the personnel would be deployed to cover all routes across the state in an operation tagged, 2022 Easter Special Patrol Operations, which would hold between 13th and 20th April 2022.
Abdullahi who assured that the seven-day operation would be on 24 hours basis further informed that six ambulances and one heavy-duty tow truck would be available to patrol the routes in order to attend to emergency situations.
According to the sector commander, the station offices in the 20 local government areas of the state had been fully activated to ensure prompt response to road traffic issues, clear obstructions, roads traffic crashes, public enlightenment as well as traffic control.
He informed that two roadside clinics had been set up to manage road traffic crashes victims and the immediate community where they are stationed. Adding that five help areas had also been positioned on all the routes, both in and out of Bauchi State.
To achieve the set objectives of the special Easter operation, Abdullahi informed that the Corps had embarked on aggressive public enlightenment, effective utilisation of media, local associations, community and religious leaders.
