Former anti-corruption commission chairman arrested

Armed policemen in Abuja have invaded the national secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and arrested Muhuyi Rimingabo who was at the party secretariat to submit his form and participate in the governorship screening process as he is vying for the governorship of Kano State.
The former chairman of the Kano anti-corruption commission and public complaint was at Sokoto governors lodge where he went to be screened as a governorship aspirant for Kano State in the coming 2023 election when a team of policemen arrived at the place and arrested him.

The arrest was in connection with his court case in Kano. On the 23rd of March, policemen similarly raided Muhuyi’s house in Kano in search of documents about how he served as the anti-corruption chairman when he was in office.
It could be recalled that Rimingabo was also suspended in July last year when he insisted to investigate a contract that is been handled by the family of the governor, this annoyed the first family and they wrote to the Kano State house of assembly to suspend and prosecute him. He later produced a letter claiming to be from the national hospital which was later proved to be fake.
