Kannywood singer, Naziru Waka, offers 50 million for Zakat, seeks Ulamas’ advice

Popular Kannywood singer Naziru Sarkin Waka has announced that he has set aside the sum of 50 million Naira to give out as Zakat, and is therefore seeking for advice from Ulamas on the best criteria to use.
Recently, Nazir gave out the sum of N3 million to Ladi Cima and Fati Slow Motion for complaining on the social media that producer’s use to pay them two thousand Naira for their roles in films.
Also, the multi-millionaire entertainer, who is the sponsor of the rested Hausa film series, Labari Na, announced his intention to give out 50 million naira as Zakat, as such, he is asking Ulamas to advise him either to distribute the money to the poor cash or build mosque for communities that are in need of places of Worship.
Neptune Prime reports that majority of the opinion pouring in have favoured the distribution of the 50 million Naira to the needy so that they can also feel a sense of belonging.
Naziru made his money as the official singer of former minister of commerce, Alhaji Bello Maitama Yusuf, he later composed popular songs for other traditional rulers like Former Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
